Call to Action

The ACLU has been leading the fight to overturn Florida's ban on adoption by gays & lesbians. Great progress has been made by winning their ongoing court case representing Martin Gill. To ensure that a court victory is upheld we need to secure public support.

The ACLU along with GLAAD is conducting a number of town hall meetings and trainings all across Florida. SAVE Dade is responsible for conducting phone banks to contact individual ACLU members and personally inviting them to attend. We are developing a team of volunteers to make these very important calls to inform, invite, and register as many participants as possible to these important trainings.

Currently we need to reach over 1,400 residents in the Orlando area to inform them of the next training taking place in Orlando on January 23rd. SAVE Dade will be holding two phone banks this coming week, and we need your help.

Wednesday, December 16th from 6:30 to 8:30; and

Thursday, December 17th from 6:30 to 8:30

Both phone banks will take place at SAVE's new offices located at 4500 Biscayne Blvd, Suite 340.

If you are available to volunteer for either or both of these days, please call or email Joseph Mooradian at joseph@savedade.org or 646.342.5456. Or if you can't attend these phone banks but are interested in this very important campaign, please let us know and we will keep you posted on future dates.

Thank you,
Joseph Mooradian
