PHOTOS: Florida marriage equality celebration!

Post by SAVE.

We made history.

If you told us last January that gay and lesbian couples would be free to marry in Florida within a year, we wouldn't have believed it.

It was an aggressive effort, orchestrated by amazing legal teams (like ours at the ACLU of Florida), very brave plaintiffs willing to put their lives in the public eye, and advocacy organizations like SAVE making sure to keep the public updated on the latest.

It also happened because of supporters like you -- and we were so honored to host more than 800 of you Tuesday evening as we celebrated the arrival of the freedom to marry in the Sunshine State. It was a beautiful event which gave our Federal Case co-plaintiffs and couples from the community the opportunity to renew their vows to their loved ones:

On behalf of all of Florida's gay and lesbian couples, I want to thank you for everything you've helped us do. It wouldn't have been possible without you. But, as many of us know firsthand, there's still lots to be done.

In 2015, SAVE will...

Fight for statewide employment nondiscrimination protections.
Defend transgender nondiscrimination in Miami-Dade from threatened challenges.
Engage Spanish-speaking communities on issues of LGBT equality.
Take the fight further into South Florida counties.

...and we need your help to do it.

Will YOU help us keep the fight alive?
Give SAVE a head start on our 2015 equality agenda. >>

Thank you for making a difference.
